About Course
Have you noticed as a Chinese speaker we tend to speak faster than many English speakers do, the reason is Chinese is a fast rate language which have already developed into a speaking habit, Chinese reaches to a point much quicker then English does, in our head we would race for it automatically which creates pressure for our English audiences’ ear which could further scare them away.
Have you noticed sometimes some English speakers scratch their head when a none-English speaker speaks, they are confused, they have no idea what the speaker was saying…
If we want to make what we say interesting, powerful, fun, even just to help our listeners to understand what we say, there are a few things, such as voice volume, pitches, pace of our speaking, intonation, reduction, stress… need us to take care of, to pay attention to. Here this section will cover a large scale of it.
Have experienced people frowning at someone’s speech maybe it was the speaker’s volume, maybe too much of stress or no stress at all, which confused them, or they spoke too loud, too quiet or too fast, or too this or too that…whatever the cause if we don’t take care of each one of these elements, we will lose our listeners attention and makes what we say not count anymore, which is very unfortunate as language is the tool for connection.
You are going to learn and control your volume, pace, pitch, stress, intonation… so to be heard.
