Why Eat Cooked Food
Not many people know we should eat cooked food more than raw food, many of us think raw food gives us more nutrition but we don’t know our body won’t be able to absorb the nutrition in the raw food. Let’s say a raw carrot, maybe we can only absorb 50% of the nutrient from the carrot, the rest vitamins and enzymes are still hidden deep in the cellulose walls of the carrot which we cannot get. What more, if we eat raw food it requires our body uses more Qi to heat up the raw food to match our body temperature before it can be used. But what if we cook the food, in the processing of cooking the food’s cellulose walls will have already begun to breakdown for us, end up we can absorb 65% (if we don’t over cook our food that is) of the available nutrient without having to waste extra Qi to heat up the food.
