Why Candle Qigong?

Life is supposed to be easy and effortless, yet people choose the most difficult paths.

Not fair? But we can do something about it, that something we do is to take the difficulties away from our day to day life. Let ‘easy and effortless’ be the way how we live. please don’t fight, ‘effortless’ at the moment might be far fetched for you, for the moment, try not to use your logical mind, let the information flow, see how you feel, not how you think. I do understand each one of us is carrying a lot of unhelpful believes from the day human formed, science and biological studies proved that.

All our difficulties, like physical pain, mental pain or emotional pain, are appearances, if we can find their causes and pull the causes out, do you believe the difficulties we now think will go too? It should.

Like we see some not very handsome apples on an apple tree, we don’t like the look of these apples, we can pick them and throw them away let them out of our sight, but next year, more apples can grow from that same tree. We try something different this time after give it some thoughts, we cut the brunches off the tree. We feel happy for a year or two or three, but after that we see apples on the tree again. Now or earlier, you already think, ‘why don’t just pull out the bloody tree out from the ground?!’

Yes, if it is not our problem, we can see solutions easily. However, we are not easy to see solutions to our own difficulties, it is because we are too close to their problems, we haven’t been able to separate ourselves from them. Have you heard every problem has its perfect solution (to get rid the problem once for all, like pulling the roots out that apple tree, no the same problem’s appearance in your life; no more ‘annoying’ apples will be at your sight;-)) Humans are so resourceful, we can think of many ways to solve one problem. Once we see this, life becomes ‘easy and effortless’.

Root Puller

Candle Qigong is helping us to pull out the root of our annoyance. In Qigong, we call ‘root’ blockages. For example, if we have some physical pain means there are some physical blockages in the body; if we have mental pain means we have mental blockages; if we feel emotional pain we have emotional blockages. Qigong says, no blockages no pain, in other words, blockages equal pain.

It is easy to understand physical pain. Mental pain, is like, if you aren’t happy with your relationships, means you have relationship blockages, and if you aren’t happy with our finance situations, means you have money or big money blockages, because many of us think big money is hard to get, it is a mental blockage to think that way.

Simply put, it is like this, if you feel sad easily, means you have blockages in your lung organ, it is to say your lung is not running as smooth, as healthy as it should be.

It is easy to clear our blockages in every aspect of our life. And by doing so, we will live our life ‘easily and effortlessly’, because we will be able to see clearly where we are and where we are going, for there has no blockages to block our vision, joyful and healthy living.

Candle itself likes human a lot. When a human born like a candle starts to burn. A candle’s wax is like a human’s essence. In Qigong we call this essence Jing. In Qigong humans have three treasures: Jing, Qi and Shen; essence, energy or breath, spirit.

Jing, Qi and Shen

Jing is like candle’s essence. Qi is like candle’s flame. You don’t want your flame burning too bright, you like make it gentle and small, so it can saves the wax, essence, once a person’s essence used up, the person is done on earth. You can gaze things, it will help you to see actually more and more clearly what is around you. You even can step back gazing yourself how to move, speak and think, everything starts to behave if you do so, because everything is aware being watched. Last one is spirit, actually we can call it the watcher. The watcher can watch the thinker, the speaker, the doer…

How to use your candle?

You stand straight, not leaning side ways. You breathe quietly, slightly. You relax so your wax is evenly spread, not get burn one side more. You smile more, because the corner of your mouth is the joint of your left and right, back and front; when you smile you help yourself more one, integrity. Pretend your spine is your candle, make the spine straight. You can use a mantra: I am peaceful, I am joyful; or just peace, joy; while breathing gently, straight back and smiling. When you walk, one step you say peace and other step you say joy. Your life will start to shift to peace and joy. The path will be open for you. 

The world is our own reflection, when say the words, the world will produce that; we say in our mind eye whatever the world will also produce just that. So words and pictures making our world, good or not so good, is our own doing. We can practise to make these two tools work for us.
