Structure

Yin-Yang English is about doing the right thing, or practise things that take us to the next level, not busying ourselves doing or learning things that don’t move the needle, left us feeling life doesn’t go any further, but stuck in one place.

The structure here I am talking about is not about the four sentence structures: Simple, compound, complex and compound complex. No, no, no. We are talking about what words are used together, in-separate-able, if we can master a few these and use them fluently, which will give us confidence and allow us to sound more intelligent.

Remember, we learn English is for using it, not just put words into our passive memory bank and when we need them they remain passive, we need to pick go there and pick a few out to move them into our active section. Let look into a few popular phrases today.

Go the extra mile

Goggle explanation is: To make more effort than is expected of you, like you do more than you were paid for, you do more than you are expected that is go the extra mile!

For example,

I bought my best friend a first edition Think and Grow Rich in 2018 when she asked me to buy her a copy for her birthday, I went the extra mile to find the place and the person who actually had the book, with a lot of encouragement to have him actually sold it to me.

My teacher asked me to take care of his precious plants when he was on holiday, I knew my teacher adored his plants and to be sure these plants were happy, I went the extra mile: every morning I drive to his house, put on classical music and did my work there. And I made sure to water them and feed them as they were required exactly. Sometimes, I even talked to them and talked with such great love at heart.

I have many great friends because I treasure their friendship, and I often go the extra mile.

They had a great reputation for their customers service because they often go the extra mile.
