Why Candle Qigong

Starts with Qigong

When I was a young girl, I saw an elegant old man wore pure white, practising Taiji among some trees and flowers in a public garden, his movements enchanted me, flow like water or a powerful dragon, he wasn’t hurried at all, but his movements gave me a strong expression that he could move all things.

Later I learned Qigong, Taiji and life in depth from my own remote master great uncle, who happened was a grand Qigong master and master of life. I was ill, he took me and helped me in all shape and sizes, whose name I never heard before. If you want to know a bit more detail about my great uncle, click here.

Maybe because I was too young to understand, he didn’t explain much the practices he taught me, we did a few. Like Jesus asked the man who couldn’t walk to pick up his mat and walk, and he did. My great uncle asked me to do the same thing after a few days I was with him and my auntie, his daughter, and I did. Maybe for a young mind there is nothing impossible, it didn’t surprise me, even when I had been terribly weak before I went there, was just about waiting to die.

The only thing I can vivid remember was the picture of a lit up candle, he asked me to carry the candle around house without its flame bending. At first, I saw the candle flame was blowing to one side and another. He explained to me how to do it. Then he went on asking me walk like a lit up candle myself.

He told me that life was about Qi, Qigong would get me to anywhere in life, he told me, Qigong was accent, a priceless treasure.

Why Candle Qigong?

My great uncle, asked me to be like a lit up candle but with legs, ‘be a lip up candle’.

What is your first expression on a lit-candle? Or, to keep the candle burn longer and gives you a steady light, what would you do naturally?

Centred. Straight. Balanced.

What if we put it in human, it would be good posture.

Let us just see this one single thing about good posture.

  1. Correct posture will affect how we breathe. In Chinese, there is a saying, breath is life, meaning the quality of our breath is the exactly quality of how we live our life. Satisfied or unsatisfied. Stressed or laidback.
  2. If we use our body correctly, using the bones to carry our body weight not using the muscles we can rest in peace. But if we lean one side, we are pulling the muscles, sooner or later, our body will be in pain. So correct posture prevent physical pain.
  3. Correct posture saves our energy. You know if you have a stick straight it requires us less effort to stand, and if we have a stick lean to one side, it will require us or the stick more effort to not fall. With the saved energy, it will naturally use for other good, for example, clear thinking!
  4. If we have our body correctly postured, the wisdom of our spirit can penetrate time and space. It will be able to come through, which means we will be well informed, living in the know instead of confusion or guessing work which normal leads to a lot of mistakes and hard and unnecessary work.

End With Qigong

I went to learn how to be successful, to get rich, to be at top…I learned from hundreds top leaders, in all the field we may consider is important, I learned, but after wondering for years and miles, I came back right where I started. Qigong can satisfying me more than anything. It helps me to reach deep in myself, finding the resources from the depth of myself then bring out of me is the most satisfying thing, if can share it powerfully, would be heaven on earth.

So you will learn who you are in four aspects: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. We will learn each of theirs natural and their related challenges they may face and learn to overcome each one of them. We are going to bring them together work toward one direction; like my uncle could walk with a candle without having to walk slow but gracefully without having the candle flame waver, which will allow us to enjoy our life on earth the most without having to make mistakes or slip off the path.

So these sessions are going to help us truly dig out the gold within, feeling pride in a good way and confidence about our identity as being a human, strive without fear or struggle but enjoy every step on the way, while harvest tremendous success along the way, feeling whole, a deep self-respect and self-love.
